Une de mes amies de Taiko va avoir une exposition de son travail la fin de semaine prochaine!!! Denis et moi avions visité son atelier. J'ai hâte de voir son expo!! Et de revoir Denis! Yay pour le chiac au Japon!!

On of my Taiko friend will show her weaving works next weekend in Tokyo!!! Denis and I had visited her studio. I'm looking forward to see her exhibit!! And to see Denis again! Yay for......speaking Moncton-french in Japan!!

On a drivé sur la côte, les routes étaient étroites et trop courbées, but c'était l'fun!! On a beaucoup ri!!

We drove on the coast, the roads were narrow and too windy, but it was fun!! We laughs a lot!!

Y'a une super belle plage proche du Izumo Taisha.

There's a really beautiful beach close to the Izumo Taisha.

La seule chose est, qu'il y avait plein de soleil de mer!! Les deux à droite était la longeur d'un oreiller!!!

The only thing with this beach is that there were many jellyfish!! The 2 on the right were about the lenght of a pillow!!!

On a visité Izumo Taisha. Un des temples les plus connu au Japon dans la religion Shinto. Si tu rencontre un Japonais qui ne connait pas ma province (Shimane), il connaitra Izumo Taisha. C'est le temple de l'amour/mariage.

We visited the Izumo Taisha. One of the most known shrine's in Japan in regards to Shinto religion. If you meet a Japanese person who doesn't know my prefecture (Shimane), they'll know Izumo Taisha. It's the shrine of love/marriage.

Mon ami Denis Goguen était venu me visiter à Higashi izumo!!! Yay!!! J'ai pu avoir une journée off de l'ouvrage pis on a visiter les alentours!! Great journée!!!

Hey!

My friend Denis Goguen came to visit me in Higashi izumo!!! Yay!!! I was able to get a day off school and we spent it visiting the area!! It was an awesome day!!!

We started by going to a local winery where we saw a snake!

I was driving, so Denis got to taste the wine, me, I drank some grape juice. mmmmm...

Festival des Lanternes

2 de mes amis (Amano et Akiko, de mon groupe de Taiko) avaient une exposition à Matsue. Amano fait de la teinture Indigo traditionnelle. Akiko fait des bijoux. L'expo était dans une vielle hotel japonaise. Chaque chambre avait une exposition. Ensuite, Nicola et moi avont marché au bord de la rivière qui entoure le chateau. C'était éluminé avec des lanternes et pour revenir, nous avons pris un bateau. C'était great!!!

2 of my taiko friends (Amano and Akiko) had an exhibit in Matsue. Amano does traditional indigo dying. Akiko makes her own jewelry. The exhibit was held in an old japanese style hotel. Each room had an exhibit. After, Nicola and I walked around the river that surrounds the castle. It was illuminated with lanterns and to return, we took a boat. It was great!

des chenilles...vénéneuse!!!

Je ne savais pas, mais les chenilles ici sont vénéneuse!! Et, avant d'en avoir vu, je ne l'imaginais pas! Mais, le rouge et les épines sont signes que OUI, ils sont vénéneuse!!

I didn't know it, but the caterpillars here are poisonous!! And, before having seen any, I couldn't imagine it! But, the red and the spikes are clear signs that YES, they are poisonous!!

Party in Izumo!

Un party qui était pour les "nouveaux" JETS dans Shimane, mais j'ai plutôt rester avec mes amis que je n'avais pas vu depuis le début de l'été.

This was suppose to be a welcome party for the "new" JETS in Shimane, but I hung-out with my friends who I hadn't seen since the start of the summer.

Factory

Angharad et moi avons visité une factrie de métaux avec Nina et son groupe d'étudiants (night classes). Les étudiants sont tous des employers de la factrie. Ils ont tous expliqué en anglais! C'était impressionnant!

Angharad and I visited a metal factory with Nina and her Eikaiwa group (night classes). The students are all employees of the factory. The were able to explain the whole tour in English! I was impressed!

Shikoku!

À Shikoku, nous avons pris une ferris wheel pour voir la vue de la ville de Matsuyama. Nous avons resté dans un hostel près du plus vieux hot spring au Japon!! Pour ceux qui ont vu le film "Spirited Away", le hot spring dans le film fut inspirer de celui à Matsuyama. C'était vraiment une expérience!! J'adore les onsens (hot spring)!!!
La journée d'après nous avons pris le train pour Uwajima. Un petit village qui avait un temple de fertilité qui était censées être interessant (hummmm?) mais le temple d'à côté était plus intéressant.
Nous étions suposées rester une autre journée mais on annoncait un Typhoon, donc nous sommes retournées à la maison plus tôt.

In Shikoku, we took a ferris wheel to see the view of Matsuyama. We stayed in a hostel near the oldest hot spring in Japan!! For those who saw the film "Spirited Away", the hot spring in the movie was inspired by the one in Matsuyama. It was a really great experience. I love onsens!!!
The next day, we took a train to Uwajima. This little village has a fertility shrine that was suppose to be interesting (hummmm?) but the shrine next to it was better.
We intended on staying an extra day, but the weather announced a Typhoon, so we headed home earlier.

Okayama avec Angharad!!

Un bout de temps passé, j'suis allée à Shikoku (au sud de Hiroshima) avec Angharad. Avant de traverser sur l'isle, nous avons passé une partie de la journée à Okayama à visiter un super jardin proche du chateau.

A little while ago, I went to Shikoku (south of Hiroshima) with Angharad. Before crossing over to the island, we spend a part of the day in Okayama visiting a beautiful garden near the castle.
